PRESS RELEASE 9/26/05 HOUSTON, TEXAS

The band, Texas High Life, is saddened to announce the loss of their long time friend and drummer – Keith Binder. Keith died in the early hours of Friday morning 9-23-05, in College Station, Texas. The band was notified of his death as they were preparing for a show in Waco.

Keith was one of the founding members of the band, growing up in the Cypress area of Houston, where he met Blake Myers and Mitch McBain, fellow band members. Keith was an instrumental part of the band, not only as a musician but also as the early driving force in supporting the band in booking gigs and logistic issues.

Keith will be missed by us all, as he left us far too soon. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, 09-29-05 at the Cypress United Methodist Church, located in Cypress Texas. The family has requested donations to the MS Society in Keith’s name in lieu of flowers.

The band plans to keep the memory of Keith alive by continuing their music. Keith was a fiery spirit who loved his band mates and loved the stage. In the words of THL bassist and younger brother, Kevin Binder…”that is what Keith would want us to do”.
