River Jam is back...and this year, we’re doing it a little differently.
Everyone on the bill is an up and comer. These are the names that are the future of Texas and Red Dirt.
A full weekend built around the next wave. Artists who are already making noise in places like San Marcos, Stillwater and Stephenville… and won’t stay under the radar much longer.
If you’ve ever said “I wish I’d seen them back then,” this is that moment. These are those artists.
Three days. Three stops. Two rivers. One feeling.
Friday night kicks things off at the mother church of Texas songwriting, Cheatham Street Warehouse in San Marcos. Cameron Allbright, Hank Weaver, and Ashton Naylor headline a night rooted in the Cheatham tradition, with Gatlin Johnson opening things up.
Saturday shifts to New Braunfels and Happy Cow Bar for a stacked lineup featuring The Smokin' Oaks, Presley Haile, Race Ricketts, Nyles, and Nick Brumley. It’s a mix of Red Dirt rock energy, Texas flatland songwriting, and the most enchanting new female artist to blast out of Texas in a generation. All of that feels right at home in the Hill Country.
Sunday brings it all to the river at Lone Star Float House. Our annual day of Sunday acoustic healing. A day of songs and stories. Cheap Lone Stars, cold water and hot burgers. A full day of music built for floating, hanging out, and discovering your next favorite artist. Lucas Jagneaux and the Roadshow close things down, with a full slate of songwriters and sets throughout the afternoon. Graycie York, Tristan Graves, Garrett Talamantes, Mason Lively, Meredith Crawford, Zach Maberry, Ian Kocourek, David Perry, Kyle Sinkule, Garrett Mohrman, Zoe Allan and a few surprises.
This is the kind of weekend that isn’t about one name, or even one show...it's about the moment and the people. The songs you didn’t know yet, the artists you're just discovering And the setting. It doesn't get any better.
River Jam has always been about the feeling that all that conjures up. And this year might be the best version yet. Come see old friends and meet your new favorite bands and songwriters.
