Red River Songwriters’ Festival

Steamboat MusicFest is one of our favorite events each year.  Yet, despite its massive nature, there are many worthy artists who aren’t on the bill.  Likewise, there are many diehard fans who can’t make the trek up to Colorado for whatever reason.  Seeing this need a few years back, Drew Kennedy created the Red River Songwriters’ Festival as a supplemental Steamboat alternative.  There are fans and artists who hit up both festivals and some who solely come to Red River for their snow and song fix.  The 4th Annual edition is taking place THIS WEEK January 22-24 in Red River, NM.  It’s an intimate festival with an up-close appreciation of the music and many special moments available.  The focus remains on the music the entire time and provides for some special mountain magic.
