Rivers have always been a bountiful subject for Texas songwriters…but a few have tackled a day at the beach too. Well, sort of. Even if they aren’t singing specifically about hanging out in the sand, there are several songs that transform your mood to that of an island getaway just by their vibe. Some guys like Larry Joe Taylor have even made a career out of writing songs about island life. Spring break got us to thinking about some of our favorite songs that get us in a coastal frame of mind. The ones we could find YouTube videos for are at the bottom.
