Premiere: Chance Anderson – “Stillwater”

Chance Anderson releases his newest single “Stillwater” today, fittingly the Friday before OSU’s homecoming. Chance’s musical roots run deep in the red dirt of Oklahoma, so there really isn’t a better way to pay tribute than to record a Red Dirt Rangers song in homage to what has inspired his steady and long standing career in Oklahoma. With more than 10 years on the road, it was time to record a coming home song, and why write one when the perfect song was already out there and he had been playing it live for years.

The video was filmed primarily this summer, on what Anderson describes as his favorite weekend of the year, 4th of July. Chance Anderson and his band mates have spent many of the last several years doing the same thing that weekend. Playing his hometown celebration and playing a family reunion for some of his biggest fans. In his words “if I could play this weekend every weekend of the year, I would”. That is what is truly special about Chance, his love for home, his fans and his music. It is simple, but it is good – American Music From Oklahoma.

Moving in to 2020, you can expect a lot of changes for Chance Anderson, a new band, new music and a brand new attitude. Sometimes you’ve got to go back to your roots to start over.
