Peeling back the curtain is never easy for an artist. They always like to maintain the facade of cool. But, Wade Bowen has never shied away from that with regard to his songwriting or career. 2018 was a beatdown of emotions of the highest order for Bowen. The YouTube documentary details the trials and tribulations associated with dropping a record with a lost voice, family suicide and career uncertainty. Bowen came out of it stronger. As Toby Hallett commented on Twitter, ” As fans we don’t say it enough with our words, we say it by buying the tickets/merch/songs. Wade Bowen, thank you for sharing your world with us.” Indeed.
