Kirby Standley – RIP

KIRBY STANDLEY, longtime Tour Manager for the Roger Creager Band, passed away after a sudden illness on Wednesday at the Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He was 30 years old. Kirby served as Tour Manager for the band for the past three years and was known and loved by the entire Texas Music Community. Roger Creager said, “We are devastated by the sudden and tragic loss. Rarely has one person made such a profound impact on so many people. We have been blessed to have Kirby in our lives and in our band. We will continue to hold him in our hearts. We will miss him.”
Kirby grew up in Deer Park (Houston area) and lived in San Antonio. Kirby is survived by his wife Shannon, sister Brooke, and his parents, Bill and Kathy Standley of Deer Park. Galleywinter, Texas Music and the world lost a genuine soul today. Kirby Standley, the Roger Creager Band Tour Mgr, passed away after an abrupt and sudden illness. Please keep his family, friends and brothers down the highway in your thoughts and prayers. We are currently coordinating with Roger’s management concerning donations, flowers, memorials, etc. Once we have more info on all that and funeral arrangements we will post it here and inside Roger’s forum.
