There are a lot of basic needs that people need met in a desperate way. This article should provide you a list of any number of ways to help in your local major city. Galleywinter recommends using the Red Cross for monetary donations but we have listed several other donation groups in different cities. PLEASE be cautious of who you give money to. Clean out your closets, your kitchen and every nook and cranny available to gather items that may be of use now or in the future. If you are not able to donate money, please consider passing on items that you no longer have a sincere need for.
