Cinco de Mayo is a widely misunderstood holiday in gringo culture. The day marks the victory of a small Mexican army over a brutish French force in 1862 at the Battle of Puebla. Or in other words…it’s a good excuse to throw a killer party.
Here are 5 Tex-Mex infused songs that will get the fiesta rocking today.
Texas Tornados-“(Hey Baby) Que Paso”
Tejas Brothers-“Boogie Woogie Mamacita”
Kevin Fowler-“Senorita Mas Fina”
Waylon and Willie-“If I Can Find a Clean Shirt”
Tommy Alverson-“Una Mas Cerveza” http://youtu.be/7Fu-SLhM4gA
And since it’s really not a party without at least a 6-pack, here’s a bonus: Josh Grider-“South of the Border”
