Hello again my friends, it’s the newest edition of Face the Music – the weekly article that highlights a few shows from the past week, provides you with a heads up for CD releases, updates you with life events for band members and the Galleywinter family, and gives you a glimpse of upcoming events in the Texas/Red Dirt Music scene. Check back each week to keep up with the dirt in and around the scene!
Upcoming Events: Tonight, Wednesday December 6th Cory Morrow, Roger Creager, Eli Young and some special guests are teaming up for an acoustic show at the Jolly Fox in Huntsville. Doors open at 8:00 PM and tickets are $12 in advance. For more information visit Jollyfox.com
Texas invades California this week! The House of Blues in San Deigo hosts Cross Canadian Ragweed and Dierks Bentley tonight and the Pat Green Band on Thursday night!
The Randy Rogers Band and Cooder Graw hit the Rockin Rodeo in Denton on Thursday night as part of Texas Music Thursdays! This will likely be a sold-out show so get your tickets early. Tickets are available at FrontGateTickets.com
Honeybrowne and the Eli Young Band will be performing at the Billy Bob’s Fan Club Party in Ft. Worth on Friday night. On Saturday night you can see Honeybrowne in Brenham and Eli Young in Stephenville.
Also in the Fort Worth area is Ryan Turner! Ryan and the band have two area shows scheduled this weekend. You can see them on Friday at Red Beard’s in Ennis and on Saturday Tumbleweeds.
The Lost Trailers will be emerging from the studio for 2 shows in Las Vegas this week. The band has been off the road and hard at work on their next CD which is due out this winter. The Trailers will be performing at the Boulder Station Casino on both Friday & Saturday night. With the NFR in town, it’s sure to be a full house!

Micky & the Motorcars return to Woody’s in Ft Worth this Saturday night. Be sure to head over to the Micky & The Motorcars forum for details on how to enter to win an Autographed CD!
You can see Brandon Rhyder acoustic and FREE this Thursday night at Hooligan’s in San Antonio! He’s got one more acoustic performance this week on Sunday night in Dallas. That show, you’ll have to pay for. Brandon and his full band will take the stage Friday night at Banita Creek Hall in Nacogdoches.
99.5 the Wolf’s annual 12-Man Jam is being held this Sunday at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. Performing this year are Lee Ann Womack, Shooter Jennings, Joe Nichols, Randy Rogers, Jason Aldean, Billy Joe Shaver, Cory Morrow, Jason Boland, Blake Shelton, Kevin Fowler, Van Zant, Stoney Larue & Austin Allsup! The Clubhouse Concert Series at the White Elephant Saloon continues this week with performances by The Dedringers and the Sidehill Gougers. If you’re in the Fort Worth area on Sunday night, head over to the Stockyards to see Miss Joni and the Clubhouse Girls.
