Been waiting for two days for management to put out some sort of release. Jason has to have surgery to remove the polyp in his throat. There is still a rest time before so the surgery won't be for a few more weeks followed by 3 months of recovery. So best case scenario is no shows until December, therefore our complete schedule is cancelled.

For obvious reasons, I haven't SPOKE to Jason on this but knowing him for this many years, he's as disappointed and sick as anyone about everything. He takes a lot to heart and put everything he had in the new album and our recent rigorous tour schedule. Time off or not, he wouldn't trade it for the album, I've never seen him so passionate about anything JB&S has done as a band or company. As far as I know, the album release is still set for August 26th and we'll do the best we can without tour support of the release.

In the meantime, just keep praying for him and the boys to take care of themselves. Hopefully, we'll see you all in 4 months.

I've never felt this bad for someone i don't really know before. maybe we'll get the cd on the 26th to hold us over till we can see the guys live again. i also hope jason and all of the guys can read some of these messages (i'm sure there will be a ton) so they know how much stragglers fans believe in their music. i said it in the other post and i'll say it again, jason boland & the stragglers is THE BEST BAND ON THE PLANET and i wish all of the guys the best and can't wait to see them again when jason is well. thanks for letting us know monty. God Bless.

Monty, thanks for keeping us updated.
My heart breaks for Jason about this, but I'll keep praying that it will all be okay in the end.

Thanks Monty! I can only imagine how frustrating this has been for Jason. Keeping him in our prayers that the doctors get him all fixed up, and better than ever.

Wow, thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.

I'm bummed. I was *this* close to finally seeing JBS live. Sad

Definitely praying for a complete recovery and a peace during the break - I know this isn't ideal timing, but it will all workout...

Thanks for keeping everybody updated, Monty. Everything will work out fine in the end. As crazy as it seems, three months is nothing compared to the alternative had it not been taken care of. I'm sure JB&S will come out on the other side of this better than ever.
