Where to start...
I think the best place to start is to say the biggest word of thanks that I can to each one of you that have supported The Front Porch Show, my efforts and my self.
Though it is not nearly enough to do just that, it's all I have at this point. Know that I am extremely grateful for all that the Good Lord has blessed me with during my 12 year stint. Getting to know each of you either through these forums, on the phone or in person has been extremely fulfilling.
Any success that I have seen has come directly from your passion of the music and bands that all of us support. All I have ever claimed to be is a big fan with a big microphone. Nothing more and nothing less. It has been an extreme pleasure to sit on the other side of the radio from you each Sunday night and stand or sit side by side of you during concerts.
In radio, ratings measure success. Ratings are measured through people. You are those people and are responsible for making the Front Porch show one of the highest rated programs not only on the station, but in the entire D/FW area during Sunday nights. Sunday nights tend to be a throw away for radio, but you and I made it a force not to be ignored. Thank You! It was and still is a great feeling
That said, July 25th, 2008, Cumulus Corporate decided it was time for all of that to end. I was informed that my contract would not be renewed and my services were no longer needed.
It's a new day there with new ideas and a new direction. I along with Tara, my morning show compadre, were told we are not part of that plan.
That is the right of the company and something I accept without any looking back. I leave there with my head high and proud of what I was able to accomplish. No regrets whatsoever.
Thankfully, I have many friends in and out the business that I have been in contact with since Friday morning. When I am contractually cleared to make any moves or any announcements, I will do so.
In the meantime, I get a little siesta time with the family. Some much needed sleep and chance to see things the way I have not been able to see them in quiet some time.
I am genuinely excited to be moving on and start fresh with a new company that is not only accepting of me but accepting of my ideas for success.
For those of you interested in maintaining any sort of contact, my new email address is ..... justin.frazell @ tx.rr.com
Pickin For Preemies will go on. I may have to turn it over completely to the March of Dimes if the station will not allow me to have access to Billy Bobs. I will keep you posted as best I can. Hopefully this forum will remain for a while.
Again friends , Thanks for all your support. It is much appreciated and will not be forgotten.
I know you will continue to carry the Texas / Red Dirt Flag. I'll be back in line shortly so please save me a place. I'll see ya at the shows and as always...
See You Down The Road...

Justin,
Thanks for all you've done and all the great Sunday nights you've provided opening our eyes to new music and promoting those we love.
I hope this ends up being a huge blessing in disguise and I can't wait to hear what you'll be up to next.
Quite frankly, I don't believe the Wolf ever really deserved someone like you.
You'll always have a place here and a great deal of people that are thankful for you!

I'd like to take the time to tell this story. I have never actually met Justin in person, however I have always been a fan of anyone with a voice who fought to air music that wasn't on a national chart and didn't perk the ears of a program director. Justin took the chance on a Sunday show...as he said, almost unheard of and made it into an establishment and a brand.
During 2006 I wasn't doing to well finacially, struggling to get through Texas Tech on my own, dealing with a family sickness and financial problems too. Tough times.
I e-mailed Justin out of the blue and kinda said it would be great if I could come to Ft. Worth for Wolfdance, however between gas money and a place to crash I was pretty much not going to be able to go. I basically asked him for a pair of tickets, something I wasn't very proud of doing, seeing how I felt if I couldn't afford to go on my own, then fine, whatever I didn't deserve to go.
At that time I was great friends with the guys in the Lost Trailers and had seen them really get a following in Texas (thanks a lot to Justin's work....we don't have to go into what they have done since), but I really wanted to see my friends take the stage in front of a huge crowd and see them convert more people into fans.
He e-mailed me back a day later and told me no problem, he's send me two tickets and asked for my address.
I sent my address back to him, thinking he was too busy or was just kidding.
A week later there was an envelope from the Wolf in my mailbox with two tickets in it and a note from Justin hoping to see me there.
I didn't forget that. I've since graduated (twice from TTU) and now am financially a little more stable and have seen my family get through everything.
It may not have seemed like much (tickets may have been worth $30 total), but it means a lot to me.
I wish you the best Justin and look forward to hearing you back on the airwaves soon, cause you deserve it.

First of All,
Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya for a great ride. It is sad that it has ended but that wont last long, cause now i am fired up to think of the possibilities that you can accomplish now that the reigns have been loosened up. no station bashing here but it truly is thier loss. So out with the old and welcome to the new. Justin Frazell bleeds red dirt! When I hear you again on the radio, the music will sound sweeter, the concerts will be biggger and the originator of the best red dirt show of the year (pickin for preemies) can sit back and grin cause he will come out on top.
Thanks again for all you have done and all you will do in the future!! See Ya Down the Road!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU are the Front Porch show. Be it on the air, or just heading to a show. I can not see any reason for this forum to go anywhere! Enjoy sleeping in, helping get the kiddos up in the mornings, and when the time is right, I know your boots will land running

Thank you, Justin. Best of luck with everything in the future. I really enjoyed and admired what you did over there at the station. You accomplished a lot and have the respect from the Texas Music fans. May all of that carry on with you to your future endeavors and many well wishes.

Thanks for all you've done, Justin. I've listened to the Front Porch for I guess 7 years now and I'm really going to miss it... but I'm so grateful for all the new music I've heard and grown to love because of you and your show. Best of luck with everything, and enjoy your down time with the family. Hope to see you around!

I remember it was you and TFPS that introduced me to OKOM when I was in high school. I appreciate that more than you will ever understand, and I thank you. Like Sara said, it definitly ain't over, just time for a change of venue. Keep the Copenhagen Showers coming, and well SYDTR. Good Luck and God Bless.

Just wanted to say thanks Justin and I know I am not alone when I say that I really appreciate everything you have done to support this Texas/Red Dirt scene. A lot of artists wouldn't be where they are today without a little help from you my friend. I never really thought you "fit in" there at The Wolf but thats a different story for a different day. I am excited to see what tricks you have up your sleeve and where this new beginning takes you. Enjoy a little time off. Spend some time with the family. Relax. Have a beer and hope like hell the Rangers can somehow get in the playoffs. There is no doubt that we will SYDTR brother.

People often throw around dramatic words that they don't mean, but the phrase "life changing" has to be used here. Everyone who knows Justin, or listens to the show, or plays Texas / Red Dirt music has been changed. Personally he is one of the truly nicest people on the planet. Whether he is burning cd's for someone he has only met throught email, or hooking people up with tickets, or helping someone meet their music hero, or supporting March of Dimes, or just shaking your hand and giving you a big "hidee" when he first sees you - you feel the warmth of the man's huge heart instantly. Then you add on everthing he has done for the artists and the music in general. How many of us would have heard of half (and some of us any) of the artist that we love today without him? How many artist would be still nearly anonomous?
Justin - you have touched and changed more people's lives than you will ever know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and all of my family's hearts for everything you do. I can't wait to see what you do next.

Justin's a great guy and will do anything for anyone. I can't believe I'm here in England and hearing this while here. Justin will get a bigger and better paying gig and he will make more fans than just those that were on the wolf. And I for one will listen to what ever radio station he goes to and not the wolf!!!
